Chocolate Ganache
Four layers, dark ganache, chocolate curl finish. Cut thick, plated on slate and served with a fork that matches. The one people photograph before they eat it.
A single house espresso, dialled in every morning and checked through the day.
A short list, cut to standard, kept under glass and never left to look tired.
Low light, deep green, warm timber. Built for meetings that run long.

About
B SHOCKED is a room built for people who notice things. The weight of the cup. Whether the cake was cut this morning or yesterday. Whether anyone looked up when they walked in.
Selby is working Johannesburg. Traders, contractors, buyers, business owners, people moving stock and closing deals all day. What this part of town has never had is somewhere decent to sit down while you do it. That is the gap we opened into.
So the coffee is taken seriously, the cake is treated like the reason people come back, and the space is dark, green and quiet enough to hear the person across the table. Bring a client. Bring your mother. Bring the deal you have been putting off.
Coffee. Conversations. Connection.
The Cake Counter
Displayed under glass, cut to a set portion, priced by the slice or the whole cake. Whole cakes and celebration cakes are made to order — 48 hours notice.
Four layers, dark ganache, chocolate curl finish. Cut thick, plated on slate and served with a fork that matches. The one people photograph before they eat it.
Vanilla bean, biscuit base, set overnight. Plain or with berry.
Walnut, cinnamon, cream cheese. Heavier than it looks, in a good way.
Baked for the morning trade. Plain, almond, or ham and cheese.
Two or three cakes that change with what is good. Ask at the counter.
Two or three tiers, a written message, candles, and a box that will not embarrass you when you carry it into the office. Birthdays, farewells, client thank-yous. Forty-eight hours notice, fifty percent deposit to confirm.
Whole cakes, corporate platters and bulk orders: send us the brief or WhatsApp the counter.
The Bar
One house espresso, dialled in at open and re-checked through the day. Full cream as standard; almond, oat and lactose free on request.
The Room
Charcoal walls, espresso timber, black leather and a lot of plants. Fiddle leaf figs tall enough to sit under. Brass used sparingly, glass that catches the light, and lamps kept low so the room reads warm instead of clinical.
It is a shop that photographs well, but that is the by-product, not the brief. The brief was somewhere in this part of Johannesburg where you would be happy to be seen doing business.
